What is Siberian larch?
Siberian larch (other names: Larix sibirica, Russian larch) grows, as the name suggests, in Siberia, but that’s not only region you can find it. It also grows in Mongolia and northern China. Canada and northern United States grows Siberian larch to a limited extent. You can also find these trees in Iceland and Greenland. That type of larch likes cold climate. There, the larch grows slowly in a different climate that we usually have in Europe. The average temperature in the region, where larches grows, comes around -30°C degrees during winter. These harsh conditions make it durable and strong.
All that makes Siberian larch perfect choice for use in external conditions. It can be used for decking, cladding and fencing. The other typical use of our timber is also joinery and flooring.
